The submission of an accepted success story is one of the requirements for the Healthy School Environment Recognition Program (HSERP). A school's application is not complete until they submit a success story. . A school may have submitted a success story earlier, however only those stories submitted and accepted after February 1, 2008 fulfill the HSERP requirement.

However, a school's success story goes beyond simply fulfilling a requirement. When you share your school’s success, you help other schools make improvements in their school environments. The information provided when you submit your school's success story along with the Recognition Program application will be used to recognize your school and the efforts you have made to improve your school’s health environment.

To submit a success story, schools should complete the online Success Story Form at the Michigan School Success Story website. Click here to go to the Success Story website and complete the form.

Success stories may be published on the Success Story website and on related Michigan websites as a way of recognizing efforts and sharing ideas with other schools.
