    • June-Arthritis. There are over 100 different types of arthritis and more than 43 million people in the United States report that their doctor has told them they have arthritis or other rheumatic condition. Like most conditions, there are arthritis risks that cannot be controlled, but there are many risk factors that are controllable.

    • May-Asthma. Over 28 million people in the United States have asthma, a disease of the lungs that can cause shortness of breath, wheezing, and dry cough. Asthma can be avoided and controlled by staying away from triggers and using the right medications.

    • May-High Blood Pressure. Nearly one in three American adults have high blood pressure. High blood pressure usually has no symptoms and is a major risk factor for heart disease, stroke and kidney disease. The good news is that it can be treated and controlled through medication, diet and physical activity.
